The PTA and Staff are proud to announce the After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) courses for Fall 2024.
Classes start on October 8th and will continue for six weeks.
Each class is 1 hour – beginning at 2:55 pm and ending at 3:55 pm. Students will be directed from their homeroooms to their ASEP class directly and will be picked up at the end of class from the front of school. Parents will have to sign them out.
Registration begins Wednesday, September 11th 2024 at 9:00pm and runs until Wednesday September 25th, 2024 at 9:00pm
- PTA Members registration opens September 11th, 2024 at 9:00pm
- Non PTA Members registration opens September 18th, 2024 at 9:00pm
The cost for each course is $100.00

After School Enrichment Program Fall 2024
If a class is cancelled due to a school weather closing or early dismissal, every effort will be made to reschedule the class. In the case of a last minute class cancellation, parents will receive an email or phone call. Please respond quickly to let us know how you would like your child dismissed in these instances. If we do not hear from you, your child will be in the front office until 3:30 pm.
Each class registration is individual and you must fill out the form separately for each child you are enrolling. If you have not used this website in the past, you can checkout as a guest. If you have completed the transaction correctly, you will receive a confirmation email from Goshen Post Elementary School PTA Store directly after the transaction with your receipt. There is also a Parent Form link in the registration that you must fill out as part of the process. If financial assistance is needed, please contact Parent Liaison, Ms. Taylor at Deborah.Taylor@lcps.org.
Please note, there is no after school transportation provided for ASEP. You will be responsible for picking your child up at 3:55 pm, and parents will have to sign them out. Students who normally walk home after school will not be able to do so after ASEP, they must be picked up. Students who attend CASA at Goshen Post will be dropped off in the cafeteria after ASEP.
In addition, it is your responsibility to inform the ASEP teacher if your child has any medical conditions he or she should be aware of. If due to a disability you need assistance to meaningfully participate in ASEP, please contact the administrative team at 571-367-4030

Gator Innovators Lab
Grades: 3rd, 4th and 5th
Teacher: Krishawna Goins
Description: Unleash your creativity and embrace your inner inventor or kidtrepreneur in the
Gator Innovators Lab! Imagine, design, and build your own creations while solving real-world
problems. From cool DIY projects to an exciting "Shark Tank" pitch, you'll learn how to turn your
ideas into reality. Whether you dream of creating the next big app or a gadget to change the world
or you are ready to launch your own small lemonade stand business, the Gator Innovators Lab is
the place to let your imagination soar. Join us and discover the innovator in you!
Math Make-And-Take Games
Grades: 3rd, 4th and 5th
Teacher: Kimberly Jay
Description: Students will make math games to practice math skills such as addition, subtraction,
multiplication, division, patterns, etc. to enhance and improve their math skills. Additionally,
students will have the opportunity to develop their own math game by the end of the session that
they can share with other students.
Trivia Time
Grades: 3rd, 4th and 5th
Teacher(s): Julia Brennan & Riley Dugan
Description: Students will be given a topic to research at the beginning of the session (i.e., Disney,
sports, history, music, etc.). Students will then participate with partners or by themselves in fun
Kahoot!/trivia games related to the topic.
Backyard Sports Club
Grades: 4th and 5th
Teacher(s): Owen DeRaps & Matthew Needelman
Description: We will go over the rules of many games (i.e. basketball, football, kickball, floor hockey,
soccer, etc.) and then host organized pickup games where all kids involved would be able to
participate in organized games of the "sport of the week"
Lego SPIKE
Grades: K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th
Teacher: Rachael Guizard
Description: Learn coding skills with Mrs Guizard using one of everyone’s favorite toys - lego! We
will build Lego creations and use the online Lego SPIKE coding program to make your legos move,
light up, and even talk! You’ll practice resilience, critical thinking, and project management while
you develop coding skills have (most importantly) have fun!
Folding Fantasies: The Art of Origami
Grades: 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th
Teacher: Sydney LaHait
Description: Students will learn the Japanese art of paperfolding. We will practice the folds that are
the basis of many origami designs and learn how to create fun paper crafts!
Friendship Bracelet Creations
Grades: 3rd, 4th and 5th
Teacher(s): Gillian Aiello & Katie Lane
Description: Students will be able to spend time with peers while making friendship bracelets to
trade with each other. Students will be able to learn how to make different style of bracelets. This is
great way to spread happiness and positive friendships throughout Goshen Post!

Board Game Bunch
Grades: K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th

Description: Learning and playing our favorite board games including Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders.
Gator Goals
Grades: 3rd, 4th and 5th
Teacher: Abby Drexler
Description: Students will spend time refining teamwork, practicing through soccer drills and scrimmage. If weather permits, we will play outside.
In Our Gator Era
Grades: K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th

Description: We will do all things Taylor Swift! Dance parties, bracelet making, art, and friendship!
Makerspace Challenge
Grades: 3rd, 4th and 5th

Description: Students will receive 3 Makerspace challenge questions and have to work in small groups to design and build a solution with everyday materials. Ex: How can you design a catapult that will shoot a puffball the farthest distance?
Directed Drawing
Grades: 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th
Teacher: Brittany Tedder
Description: Come discover how to draw using a step-by-step process where students are directed through each step of their creation!
Sports Club
Grades: K, 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Description: A variety of sports and activities with be offered to keep the students moving and active
Digital Composers
Grades: 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th

Description: Does your student love creating music? Through this course, your student will learn new ways to compose, code, and create music using technology! Your student will be able to use what they learn in this course even after the course is over. We will explore programs that use coding to create music, games that reinforce musical concepts, and fun ways to keep music as a part of their life. Students will need to bring their chromebooks to our ASEP course so that they can work collaboratively and individually on these programs.

Cooking with Coleman: From Scratch to Scrumptious
Grades: 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th
Teacher: Ruth Addison Coleman
Description: The purpose of this cooking class is to empower participants with the knowledge and skills to
prepare delicious, healthy meals with confidence. We aim to inspire a love for cooking by making the
process accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Whether you're looking to improve your everyday cooking,
explore new culinary horizons, or simply have a fun experience with food, this class is designed to meet
your needs. Ultimately, I want to foster a community of food enthusiasts who share a passion for cooking
and the joy of creating meals that bring people together.
Lego SPIKE
Grades: K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th

Description: Basic skills will be taught and rules of the game will be reviewed. Then, students will have the
opportunity to play 5 vs. 5 on half of the court.
Readers Theater
Grades: K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th
Teacher(s): Julia Brennan & Chelsea Costello
Description: Students will work on their fluency skills while preparing different short plays (i.e., The 3 Little
Pigs, Goldilocks, etc.) Students will create backdrops, props, and costumes for their plays. They will work in
small groups and all ages and reading
levels are welcome!!
GPE Spirit Squad
Grades: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th
Teacher: DeArberge Wiley
Description: We've got spirit, yes we do! We've got spirit, how about you?! Join Ms. Wiley and participate in
GPE's spirit squad! Students will learn/practice basic cheer moves and learn a simple cheer routine. No
experience necessary, but students should expect to participate and perform!
Learning & Fun with Minecraft Education
Grades: 3rd, 4th and 5th
Teacher: Ardelle Marino
Description: Minecraft Club is back! We will explore science, math, social studies and many more subjects
while using our critical thinking skills. Students will work together to complete weekly challenges and
explore fun topics!
GPE Chess Club
Grades: 3rd, 4th and 5th
Teacher: Carson Wagner
Description: Casual games against students and beginner chess instruction.
